Short answer
AVIF can deliver small files but encoding and compatibility tradeoffs matter.
What to check
Review alpha, color, browser support, encoding time, and fallback images. Check transparency, color profiles, bit depth, dimensions, sharp edges, animation, metadata, and output compression after conversion.
Using png.now
Use the PNG TO AVIF converter, keep the source, and inspect the downloaded result before sharing it.
